34. Regulations
(1) The Minister may, after consultation with the Council, make such
regulations as he thinks fit for the purposes of this Act.
(2) Regulations made under subsection (1) may provide for—
(a) the levying of fees, the payment of charges or surcharges and
the imposition of penalties; and
(b) the amendment of the Schedule.
(3) Any regulations made under subsection (1) may provide that any person who contravenes them shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction,
be liable to a fine not exceeding 50,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a
term not exceeding one year.
