9. Vacant successions
(1) Where a person dies and there is reason to believe that he died possessed of property in Mauritius and that he has died intestate without leaving
any heir in Mauritius, his succession shall, for the purposes of this Act, be
deemed to be a vacant succession.

Curatelle Act
(2) Where a person has disposed of part of his property by will and dies
without leaving any heir in Mauritius to succeed to the undisposed part of his
property, he shall, in relation to the undisposed part, be deemed to have left
a vacant succession.
