72. Giving false information and tampering with evidence
A person who—
(a) is required to supply any information under this Act and knowingly fails to supply such information or provides false, incorrect
or misleading information;
(b) falsifies, conceals, destroys or tampers with evidence which can
be used in the course of inquiries or judicial proceedings,
shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 500,000 rupees.
