5. Survey of mountain reserves
(1) The Chief Surveyor may, after giving not less than 10 days’ written
notice to the owner or occupier of a mountain reserve, by means of a survey, determine the mountain reserve line of a mountain range or the boundary of a mountain reserve.

(2) Notwithstanding section 15 of the Land Surveyors Act, a plan of
every survey under subsection (1) shall be made and deposited in the Registry and endorsed by the Registrar with the date of deposit.
(3) Every plan deposited under subsection (2) shall be open for inspection
as soon as a notice to that effect is published by the Registrar in the Gazette
and in 3 daily newspapers and for 30 days from the last publication of the
notice.
