17. Cessation of business
(1) Where a dealer intends to cease business, he shall give written notice
of his intention to the Director not less than 30 days before the intended
date of cessation.
(2) On receipt of a notice under subsection (1), the Director may require
the dealer to produce—
(a) any mark for cancellation;
(b) a list of jewellery in stock; and
(c) such other information and documents relating to the business
as the Director may determine.

(3) Where the Director becomes aware that a dealer has ceased business
without him having been notified as requested under subsection (1), the
Director may, without prejudice to any other action that he may take under
this Act, require the dealer to produce forthwith—
(a) any mark for cancellation;
(b) a list of jewellery in stock; and
(c) such other information and documents relating to the business
as the Director may determine.
