20. Qualifications of elector
(1) Subject to subsection (2) and section 21, a person shall be entitled to
be registered as an elector at the election of a Municipal City Council, Municipal Town Council or Village Council where he is—
(a) a citizen of Mauritius of not less than 18 years;
(b) domiciled and resident in Mauritius; and
(c) a resident of that city, town or village, as the case may be,
provided that his name is included in the register of electors
compiled in accordance with section 4A of the Representation of
the People Act.
(2) No person shall be registered as an elector—
(a) in more than one ward of a city or town; and
(b) in more than one city, town or village.
