6. Policymaking responsibility
(1) The Policy Office—
(a) shall serve as an independent procurement policy making and
monitoring body;
(b) shall not in any way be operationally involved in conducting procurement proceedings or resolving procurement disputes; and
(c) may request information from, and consult with, the Board, the
Review Panel, or any public body in the development of procurement policy for Government.

(2) In the exercise of its functions, the Policy Office shall act without
fear or favour and shall not be subject to the direction or control of any other
person or authority.
